Sinusitis is a painful condition that results in obstruction in breathing, swelling, inflammation, redness and headaches. This condition is characterized by thick nasal discharge, fever, illness and a general feeling of being unwell. There are a number of precautions that can be taken to prevent sinusitis in case the ailment is due to allergy. Make sure that the interiors of your house are free of dust, pollen or mites that are known triggers that cause sinusitis. Make sure that the indoor air quality in your house is free of pollutants. A good quality air filter helps to quite an extent in improving air quality within the house. Try to avoid catching a cold or a case of influenza during the influenza season. Wash your hands especially before you eat or drink something and make sure that you do not rub your eyes and nose too often.
